What is an Expedition Camper?

An expedition camper is a recreational vehicle designed for extended travel to remote areas or across national borders. Expedition campers come in many styles and shapes and for a variety of different uses, from a simple 4WD pickup equipped with a lightweight pop-up camper, such as the Four Wheel camper, to purpose-built land yachts, such as the Earthroamer, Actionmobil or Unicat.

No matter how simple or how well equipped, expedition campers are intended to go where normal production RVs can't go. This website is dedicated to those adventurous individuals who dream of traveling at their own pace to remote corners of the globe taking their "mobile home" with them. This is a place to exchange ideas and techniques, to learn about new equipment and get updates on trips and expeditions.
